Join Us at Marian University Orientation
Whether you’re starting your journey here at Marian University as a freshman or transferring from another school, we highly encourage you to attend orientation. It’s an exciting opportunity to familiarize yourself with campus life, connect with peers, and prepare for a successful college experience. Explore all the details and events that will help you make the most of your transition into our vibrant community.
Orientation Dates: Friday, August 21, 2026 – Sunday, August 23, 2026
Orientation Check-In
Get ready to embark on an exciting new chapter. Your orientation at Marian University kicks off on Friday, August 21, and we can’t wait to welcome you.
Check-in times for orientation are organized by last name:
- A-K: Arrive between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.
- L-Z: Check in from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Please go to your designated housing location for check-in. If you’re part of TRIO-SSS (POP!), EXCEL (Summer Bridge), or any fall sports teams, please follow your program director or coach’s instructions for your arrival. We look forward to seeing you!
Family Orientation
Join us for an important gathering on Friday, August 21, in Stayer Auditorium.
Parent sessions will be available at 1:30 and 2:15 p.m. where parents can learn more about athletics, health & wellness, financial aid & paying your bill, TRIO, parenting a college student, or campus ministry.
Parents are warming welcomed to the Pinning Ceremony at 3:15 p.m. inside the Howard L. Sadoff Gymnasium.
Dinner will follow (at about 4:45 p.m.) inside the Hornung Student Center.
Please bring the following when you check in:
- Passport
- Student Visa (if applicable)
- I-20
- I-94 card/print-out of arrival/departure record
International Freshmen and Transfer Students
Mandatory orientation for international freshmen and transfer students occurs at the start of each semester. Upon arrival on campus, all new international students should check in with the International Student Advisor. Marian University is required to review the documents below to confirm your status in the U.S. Failure to provide these documents could result in the loss of your legal status.
