George Henze

Registrar
George Henze is the Registrar here at Marian University.  A role that he describes as “Head Paper-pusher”; the Registrar coordinates and performs many tasks and processes for students, faculty and staff.  George coordinates the scheduling of classes, verifies athletic eligibility, ensures FERPA compliance and monitors academic standing, among other things.

George earned his undergraduate degree in History at UW-Oshkosh and his master’s degree in College Student Personnel Administration from UW-La Crosse.  He worked in the UW 2-year and 4-year Systems and WI Technical College System prior to joining Marian.  Over the years, George has served as an Resident Assistant, Residence Hall Director, Academic Advisor and Assistant Campus Dean among other roles.

A proud former member of the WI Army National Guard, George served for six years as a tank crewman and truck driver.  He enjoys online gaming with friends, watching shows like Stranger Things and Bob’s Burgers with his wife, Julie.  He is a Packer fan and automotive enthusiast as well.
