DUBUQUE, Iowa – Marian University Head Men’s Volleyball Coach Tyler Wills has been announced as an inductee into the Clarke Athletics Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2022.

“I’m humbled and honored to be entering the Clarke University Athletics Hall of Fame,” said Wills. “I’d like to thank my parents for teaching me the game and all my teammates and coaches over the years. The relationships trump the wins and I am grateful to have played alongside and be coached by so many amazing people. Marian has provided me the platform to share my experiences and empower future Hall of Famers. Thank you to the administrators, coaches, and student-athletes we have here as well.”

Wills was the first four-time NAIA All-American winner in the history of Clarke athletics and his name remains littered throughout the Pride record books. He was the NAIA North Player of the Year in 2015 to go with his four All-American awards. He finished his career with the Pride as the program leader for service aces (151) and reception percentage (.976). Wills also finished second in program history for kills (1,498), fifth for points per set (4.08), second for total points (1,807.0), fourth for digs (959), ninth for total blocks (279), third for attack percentage (.313) and fifth for kills per set (3.38).

“Congratulations to Tyler on his induction into the Clarke Athletics Hall of Fame,” said Director of Athletics Tony Draves. “We hope Tyler and his family enjoy every second of the festivities over the weekend.”

In three seasons at Marian, Wills has led the Sabres to a 37-23 record including the first two winning seasons in the history of the program. Wills led Marian to its winningest season last year after the Sabres went 23-8 with a 9-3 NACC ledger. Marian has also qualified for the NACC Tournament twice during his tenure.
