ATLANTA – A total of 942 student-athletes from the Southern Athletic Association have been named to the Fall 2022 Academic Honor Roll.
To qualify, student-athletes from SAA schools must have posted a minimum GPA of 3.25 for the semester and been a member of a conference-sponsored, fall varsity sport. A total of 66 student-athletes from SAA field hockey programs were recognized. Earning recognition from Marian was Brenna Abrahamson, Jikke Biemans, Eva Houtackers, Macenzie Rosenberger, Mackenzie Rosin, and Maggie Volkmar.
Marian field hockey just completed its inaugural season that saw the Sabres go 7-8 with a 2-3 SAA record. This earned Marian a third-place finish in the SAA with four student-athletes earning All-SAA recognition and Head Field Hockey Coach Holly Heeb and her staff earning Co-Staff of the Year. Freshman Allyson Nichols highlighted the all-conference recognition earning SAA Newcomer of the Year recognition and an all-region selection by the NFHCA.
