Marian University partners with the ERVING Network in central Wisconsin to give aspiring teachers a real opportunity to get started—right where they live. In many rural areas, schools are simply too far from four-year universities to regularly host education students. Marian helps bridge that gap.
With this model, you don’t have to move or commute long distances to begin your teaching journey. Courses like EDU 101 and EDU 202 are taught live online twice a week, so you’re learning directly from Marian faculty in real time. The other three days each week, you’re in a local classroom of your choice, gaining hands-on experience with the age group or grade level you’re most interested in.
This approach lets you connect theory to practice from the start, build classroom confidence early, and make a meaningful difference in schools that truly need teachers. It’s a practical, flexible path into the profession—designed for students and communities alike.
