Wisconsin Early College Credit Program (ECCP)
The Early College Credit Program (ECCP) gives Wisconsin high school students the chance to get a head start on college by earning real university credits while still in high school. Through ECCP, students enrolled in public or private schools can take approved courses at Marian University. Students may earn high school credit, college credit, or both depending on how the course fits academic plans.
ECCP courses are taken in person, online, or in a hybrid format during fall, spring, or summer terms, and students may earn up to 18 college credits while still in high school. Tuition costs are shared between the school district, the state, and sometimes the student, making participation low to no cost for families when the course supports graduation requirements.
To participate, students must work with their high school counselor to complete the required Department of Public Instruction (DPI) forms and meet deadlines set by their district and college. Credits earned through ECCP often transfer to future college programs, helping reduce time and cost toward a degree
