DANSVILLE, Ky. – Marian University field hockey received 13 total points to finish fourth in the inaugural Collegiate Field Hockey Conference preseason poll.
The top three spots in the poll were separated by a total of two points with newcomer Mary Washington picked as the favorite to win the conference. UMW had 22 points and three of the six first-place tallies. Rhodes followed with 21 and two first-place votes with the Lynx just ahead of Centre who had 20 points and the final first-place vote. The Sabres were next with their 13 points followed by CUW with nine points and Sewanee with five.
The CFHC was approved for membership for the 2024 season and beginning in 2026 will receive an automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament.
