FOND DU LAC, Wis. - The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has found Marian University's degree program in alignment with their human resources curriculum guidelines.
This is a renewal of the affirmation received in 2012, when SHRM initially added Marian University's human resources degree to a list of programs that fully align with SHRM's curriculum guides and templates established in 2005.These guidelines define the minimum content areas that should be studied by human resources students at the undergraduate and graduate level. SHRM has identified 263 programs in 213 educational institutions throughout the world as being in alignment with its suggested curriculum.
"I am pleased to announce that our efforts over the past year have resulted with the successful renewal of this alignment." said Dr. Thomas DePaoli, director of Marian's management program. "Marian University's alignment has been renewed and extended until December 2017. Our program's goal is to prepare graduates to function as competent, ethical human resources practitioners."
DePaoli led the program development to achieve this recognition, along with assistance from Beth Bayless, adjunct instructor; John Weir, director of the health care administration program; and others in Marian's School of Business and Public Safety.
