Marian University Student Has Art Published in IEATA Newsletter

FOND DU LAC, Wis- Marian University student Megan Heding, '13, has recently had her artwork published in the IEATA (International Expressive Arts Therapy Association)
newsletter.

Heding, an Expressive and Therapeutic Arts major, created a self-portrait collage which has many different elements within it. The collage represents Heding, her life and her view of herself. "A collage is something I feel that I can really relate to because many times my life feels like one big collage, with lots of little pieces joining together to create something bigger," says Heding of her piece.

IEATA is an organization that supports those who create art or utilize it in their careers in order to cause positive change in lives throughout the world.

Fun Fact

Dorcas Chapel was built in 1966 and named for the seamstress Dorcas who shared her talents with Saint Paul. The chapel was designed to look like a sewing basket with the cross on top portraying a needle (Source: Marian University Archives).
