April 12, 2012
FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Marian University has named Anne Peregrine, science learning specialist, as its April Sabre of the Month.
Peregrine has worked at Marian since the fall of 2007 and tutors students individually as well as in study groups. While she specializes in science, Peregrine enjoys seeing students gain an understanding of any topic they are struggling with.
“I would say the most meaningful aspect of my work is helping students succeed in difficult courses,” Peregrine says. “It is nice to know that I can make a positive difference in someone’s life. I also love seeing students get truly interested in science.”
Whether it’s helping a student academically or acting as a source of advice, Peregrine is a valued student resource on campus.
“It is a pleasure to know that I am truly helping students succeed at Marian,” Peregrine says. “I am honored and grateful for this award.”
The Sabre of the Month Employee Recognition Program honors faculty and staff who exemplify the Marian University core values – community, learning, service, social justice and spiritual traditions.
