FOND DU LAC, Wis. - The tenth annual Presents for Pediatrics campaign is collecting gifts for children in Wisconsin hospitals.
Each holiday season, Marian University's Student Nurses Association (MUSNA) collects toys, DVD's, books, games, stuffed animals and other requested gifts and delivers them to St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac and Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Neenah and in Milwaukee. The gifts, either donated gifts or purchased through monetary contributions, are given directly to the hospitals' pediatric units.
Presents for Pediatrics focuses on children who are suffering from an acute or chronic illness during the holidays. The children are separated from friends and family and are in a new and often frightening environment. The goal of Presents for Pediatrics is to be a positive contribution to hospitalized individuals and their families. Even the littlest gift - a board game, an art kit, or a stuffed bunny - can bring smiles to faces that are often in the midst of major life challenges.
Gifts can be dropped off at Marian University's Common Grounds Coffee House, located in the Todd Wehr Alumni Center between the hours of 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Monetary donations can be mailed to Marian University, 45 S. National Ave., Fond du Lac, WI 54935 attn: Nancy Noble.
