Institute of Professional Development

The Institute of Professional Development (IPD) in the School of Education focuses on supporting post-graduate educators committed to excellence through life-long learning in their profession. Five interconnected themes serve as the framework for courses: Value and Ethics, Knowledge, Reflection, Collaboration and Accountability.

Classes are offered each semester in a variety of formats in which you can earn graduate credits. Educators can select from formats including:

  • Professional development or recertification courses REGISTER HERE (mail-in form) or On-line form
  • Memoranda of understanding with various educational service providers
  • Custom designed school district or grad level in-services
  • Online professional development and webinars

The Marian University Institute of Professional Development provides training sessions specifically geared toward the educator, thus tailoring training and messages that will benefit not only your classroom but your education as well. Topics include:
