POSITION: Full-time Faculty - Leadership Studies (Nine-month, tenure-track
at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor beginning spring 2014)
SCHOOL: School of Education
PROGRAM: Leadership Studies
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching leadership courses primarily in the
doctoral program in leadership theory, organizational studies, and quantitative
or qualitative research methodology. Teaching campus-based and online graduate courses;
teaching at off-campus sites; academic advisement; chairing or serving on doctoral
committees; maintaining an active research/scholarly agenda of publication and national
presentations in leadership; and serving on department, school and university committees
as needed. Summer teaching contracts available beyond the nine-month contract.
QUALIFICATIONS: Terminal degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D) in interdisciplinary
leadership, educational leadership, or related area is required. Excellent communication
skills and record of excellence in research and teaching required. Successful experience
as a superintendent or teaching experience in pre-K schools preferred. Experience
chairing doctoral dissertation committees desirable. Willingness to support the
