What Are You Inspired to Do?

Art Therapy (Expressive and Therapeutic Arts)

Expressive and Therapeutic Arts utilize art media, images and the creation of art to assess and treat individuals with emotional conflicts, behavior problems, disorientation or anxiety as well as to foster self-awareness, increase self-esteem, and develop social skills.

Marian University Expressive and Therapeutic Arts Program graduates excel in entry-level positions using therapeutic arts in educational climates assisting at-risk, special needs, and exceptional education students. Graduates have also entered careers in health care as well as assisted living environments. The Expressive and Therapeutic Arts program combines a student's passion for art and psychology, while preparing for graduate studies toward becoming a Registered Art Therapist.
