Faith Community Nurse Program

The Marian University Faith Community Nurse Program preparesnurses for a ministry integrating spirituality, health and wholeness withintheir communities. 

This course is designed for RN’s seeking Faith Community nursetraining.  A Faith Community nurse ministers to the members of the faithcommunity.  Working collaboratively within the community of faith, thenurse may function in one or all the following roles: Health Educator, Personalhealth counselor, Health advocate, Referral agent, Community liaison,Coordinator of volunteers, Integrator of faith and health and/or Developer ofsupport groups.

Professional nurses will explore the personal and professionaldimensions of spirituality and the process for developing a parish nurseministry within their communities of faith.
